How about some trivia to start off with:

1.) What are the two most expensive spices on the market today? ( Clue: 1 of them is in a recipe on my page )
2.) In what country did chocolate originate? ( Clue: There are a lot of people from this country living in the U.S. )
3.) According to The California Board of Health, what is the acceptable amount of time to lather your hands while washing before handling food? ( Clue: Ask anyone working in a restaurant, they should know, if not. uh.. I'd wonder )

I'm looking forward to seeing your responses :-)

Happy Cooking,
Chef Dave

Good answers Vinni... are they right?? Tune in on Sunday to find out.

I knew saffron was up there, but had no idea vanilla was also so expensive. I also knew that chocolate was originally a thick drink that the Aztecs used to make from cacao beans called chocolatl. Given that, I would place it in Mexico. The hand washing thing amazes me - I didn't realize you had to lather for so long (20-30 sec).

Ok, here's what my tiny bit of research came up with.

1) Saffron and Pure Vanilla
2) Central America but keeping your clue in mind, maybe Mexico?
3) I'm going to feel dumb if I get this wrong, but is it 20 seconds??
