Crafts I enjoy:
Just about everything, except I gave up on quilting after my first one came out looking like an MC Escher-like blanket. My favorites are sewing costumes and beaded jewelry.
My hobbies include:
Dancing, playing with my two loveable pound pups, and playing in the pool.
About Me:
I live in northern California in the mountains and work from home - just started consulting last September (07). I am a nerd my education and training, but I enjoy working with people and mentoring and training as the most rewarding parts of my job.
Topics I blog about:
I am new to the blog scene - this would be my, uh, passage into bloghood, as it were. Thanks to Jane for the invite from Craftster - I look forward to getting to know you all and finding some kindred craft spirits.

PS - The web link below is about as far-removed from anything craft-related you could imagine, but it gives you an idea of what kind of work I do and why I need crafts to keep the other side of my brain happy and healthy, too!

Thanks again, David - I couldn't have done it without you! We played Cranium Turbo and then a round of Battle of the Sexes, which is really fun - has cards with both male and female bias written in and it moves fast. I will definitely join the kitchen group.

Awesome!!
I'm glad everyone like your souvlaki and it sounds like the board game was fun... what game did you play? If you would like to set up another fun meal for your friends and need some help with another recipe just let me know. You can also join The Kitchen, Jane started a discussion labeled Party Food, It's a great place to get ideas or leave them to help others. Thanks for your input, your comments put a great big smile on my face:-)

Hi Erika,
I picked my sisters brain and got you a Greek recipe, Souvlakia with Tzatziki Sauce ( otherwise known as gyros ). It's pretty easy to make and has simple ingredients. I haven't been able to find a Greek soup with lemon but I did find a stew recipe. I'll try to get that posted next week for you, I have a few other recipes to do first. I hope you give it a try:-)
Take care,
David

So sorry if I didn't say thanks for your very kind comments about my books, I'm still finding my way around here and probably don't drop in as often as I should. :-(

Kristine,
Excellent news! The world never has enough Pisceans in my not-so-humble opinion. Congrats and I'll keep my fingers crossed for an on-time delivery so we can celebrate together! :)
