Los Angeles is in the middle of a winter storm (it's unbelieveable but it's actually snowing just outside of Los Angeles) so we're getting hit with some rain. Any rain here would be considered 'hard' rain since we're not used to it. Luckily, when I left Sergio's house today, it wasn't raining so when he walked me to my car, he started wiping the rain drops away from my windows with non other than a business card. Today, Sergio and I got super creative today and put out a BUNCH of designs for greeting cards. I'm excited about each and every one of them but I'm not so excited about the process of uploading them onto etsy. I don't know why. Luckily, Sergio's volunteered to help me out with that so you can expect them to be up in the next few days. =] Continue

Last night I actually got myself to make phat monkey! I'm very pleased with the results! It took me about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to complete him. I'd say the hardest part was probably stuffing him to make his potato shaped body. But, I'm so happy with how he turned out, I can't wait to make him some clothes!

I have my supplies together to make a sock monkey today. I'm bringing back phat monkey for those of you who know him. He's got an awesome personality! He's super cool, good with the ladies, and loves his food. Once I get him done, I'm hoping I can make a cigar jaket for him or something... Yes, that's the kind of awesome monkey he is. I'll post pictures soon!

I've been looking around the apartment now and I saw that one of my old friends, Twist is making two new bags (I saw the peach one in person) and now I'm kinda, sorta jealous. I mean, it's kind of inspired me to start sewing, but it's cloudy today, and for some reason, that makes me lazy. I'll let you know how this goes (it probably won't happy because t.v. and a cozy blanket is calling my name...) Continue

I'm sitting here, waiting for my uncle to come and fix the plumbing. Apparently there's a ghost leak somewhere...no one knows where it is, but it's there. So we're here without water. I've been anxiously waiting for it to be turned back on so I can take a shower and FINALLY brush my teeth. Lol. I don't really eat breakfast without brushing my teeth, so I'm also hungry. I'm sure he'll show up soon. I hope.

I'm so happy with the amount of activity so far. I'm happy to see everyone getting aquainted with each other and I can definitely see some good ideas floating around. I can't wait until everyone (including myself) gets a little more comfortable in the "apartment" and starts topics and other things on their own. =] Continue
