Love Rollercoaster Urban Legend
I was listening to the Ohio Players' Love Rollercoaster in the car with my mom one day. She told me the kids (my siblings) are afraid to listen to this song because of the screaming of a girl in one of the breakdowns ( It's around the1:24 mark). My mom told the kids that the scream was of a girl being stabed by one of the members during recording. I looked it up and found a few different stories.
One story said that women on the cover of the album was injured by the honey (It was really hot and/or caused the glass she was on to fuse with her skin) which runied her modeling career. She was pissed and wanted to sue the Ohio Players so she stormed in to the recording studio while they were recording "Love Rollercoaster" one day. The manager didn't wanna hear it and stabed her on the spot and her scream was recorded. They decieded to leave it in the song as a tribute. That was the most common storie I found.
Other stories say it was recorded in an apartment with someone being murdered next door or there was a murder happening out side the studio. And one last one said it was the cleaning women being stabbed while recording.
It's an URBAN LEGEND. None of the members want to say anything about it. The only thing they have said is that won't say anything "because that makes you sell more records".
