Thanks again, David - I couldn't have done it without you! We played Cranium Turbo and then a round of Battle of the Sexes, which is really fun - has cards with both male and female bias written in and it moves fast. I will definitely join the kitchen group.

Awesome!!
I'm glad everyone like your souvlaki and it sounds like the board game was fun... what game did you play? If you would like to set up another fun meal for your friends and need some help with another recipe just let me know. I'm glad you like my sisters recipe... I hope yours comes out as good as mine did. Please let me know what you thought of it. Take care and happy cooking!
Hi Erika,
I picked my sisters brain and got you a Greek recipe, Souvlakia with Tzatziki Sauce ( otherwise known as gyros ). It's pretty easy to make and has simple ingredients. I haven't been able to find a Greek soup with lemon but I did find a stew recipe. I'll try to get that posted next week for you, I have a few other recipes to do first. I hope you give it a try:-)
Take care,
David
So sorry if I didn't say thanks for your very kind comments about my books, I'm still finding my way around here and probably don't drop in as often as I should. :-(
It is PatternReview West Coast Weekend - check it out: http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/sewingclasses/board.pl?t=26323 - if you are up for it, let's meet up and do the Fashion District. Ciao!

Kristine,
Excellent news! The world never has enough Pisceans in my not-so-humble opinion. Congrats and I'll keep my fingers crossed for an on-time delivery so we can celebrate together! :)
Nice to hear from you! Absolutely, you can substitute ground pork for ground beef. Just follow the same recipe but with pork, no problem! You can also make a vegetarian style by substituting green and yellow squash, or any other vegetable you like. You can also make it with chicken and substitute the marinara sauce with alfredo sauce. Lasagna is very versatile like most pasta dishes. Let me know if any of this sounds good to you.
Thanks for your input and any time you need help with your culinary creations don't hesitate to ask, I'm always willing to help:-)
Jane - check out this website - lots of great contributors providing great reviews and other cool craft tidbits: http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/sewingclasses/board.pl?t=26323.
I have to admit, I am a craft loner as well, mosty because my friends would never admit to enjoying anything crafty. I find it is a great way to just get away (in my craft attic, all painted in lavender) and just meditate with my hands. I am getting totally bummed by the crap weather up here right now and could use some moral support from like minded folk, so your invite was very serendipitous. Grazie!
I'm embarassed to say that I didn't even know about it. Do they have a site I can check out? I'll definitely though. Sounds interesting. I guess I'm something of a loner crafter. I craft at home--my cave lol. I haven't been out to a crafting event of any sort, but I'd love to start!
I'm so glad you joined! Welcome! Make yourself at home and feel free to leave comments, make new friends (everyone here is so nice!), start or reply to topics in the forum, make blog posts, etc. =]
